A Novel Scheme for PAPR Reduction and Performance Analysis of OFDM System Using Slantlet Transform and Radon Mapping
R.Shri Mythili and S.Venkatachalam
Abstract:
Orthogonal Frequency- Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a special case of Multi Carrier Modulation (MCM) technique that divides the high data rate input bit streams into large number of lower rate sub-streams and each sub stream is transmitted simultaneously over orthogonal sub carriers. High Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) has been a major problem in OFDM systems. A Radon and Slantlet transform based Linear predictive Coding (LPC) scheme is proposed for the reduction of PAPR in OFDM system. Filtering process of the proposed method reduces the correlation between the input data sequences, which results in Low PAPR in OFDM transmissions. Further the use of Radon Mapper and Slantlet Transform preserves the Orthogonality between the subcarriers which improves the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance.
