Virtual Presentation
We understand that some presenters will be unable to make the trip to conference venue to present their papers, mainly due to financial or other reasons. ICEEM-2015 has therefore instituted a virtual presentation system via Skype to allow the authors of accepted proposals the same publication opportunities as regular presenters.
Presentation through SKYPE:
As a virtual participant, you have to:
1. Download SKYPE software from: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windows/
2. Add user on Skype: bonfring.iceem
3. Be online 10 minutes before your actual presentation, in order to check the internet connection and to make necessary changes (volume, light, speed etc.). To participate, you need a computer with a webcam, a high-speed Internet connection and a microphone.
Note: a virtual presentation will last between 10 and 15 minutes. We strongly recommend that you present the paper in maximum 10 minutes, to allow 5 minutes for eventual questions of the audience. Participants need to be well equipped at their side so that they can actively take part in the video conferences. The time of the online presentations will be updated in the website and will be mailed to the participants.
Virtual authors whose papers are accepted (and who have paid registration fees) should submit a PowerPoint presentation (with video and/or audio), mp4, or any other multimedia file of their work. These presentations will be uploaded in the ICEEM-2015 YouTube conference channel so that all conference participants will have access to them during and after the conference. Considering the large amount of authors from all continents who will be participating in the conference, ICEEM-2015 YouTube channel will enable participants to have access to all virtual presentations during and after the conference, without having any limitations linked to time zone differences.
As alternative:
In case you cannot attend a presentation through Skype, you can only send us PowerPoint presentation (with video and/or audio), mp4, or any other multimedia file of their work. Presentations will be uploaded in the ICEEM-2015 YouTube conference channel, on the conference website and the same publication opportunities will be considered as for regular presenters. The participants for the virtual presentation will be contacted by e-mail, in case of questions regarding online presentations.
Once you’ve uploaded your presentation, send an email to iceem@bonfring.org with your name, registration id and YouTube URL.
