INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: THE NEED FOR QUALIFIED TEACHERS AND A TRANSFORMED PEDAGOGY

Abstract:
Inclusive education is a strategy set forth by the United Nations fourth Sustainable
Development Goal and Indias National Education Policy in achieving the Education for All goal.
This paper discusses the need for a paradigm shift to implement this strategy effectively. In addition,
it describes the importance of teachers positive attitude to work in an inclusive classroom, equally
engaging students with and without disabilities. Moreover, it stresses the requirement for equipping
teachers with adequate skills to work with students with special need
